Surrey Tasker is an online platform that allows customers seeking services, tasks, or jobs to connect with independent service providers, tradespeople, and businesses.

By accessing or using Surrey Tasker, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Surrey Tasker provides a platform only and does not provide, perform, manage, supervise, or guarantee any services listed or arranged through the platform.

2. Role of Surrey Tasker

Surrey Tasker acts solely as a platform that allows users to communicate and connect.

Surrey Tasker is not:

  • A tradesperson
  • A contractor
  • An employer
  • An agent
  • A representative of any service provider
  • Responsible for completing any work requested through the platform

Any agreement, contract, payment arrangement, or service relationship formed through Surrey Tasker is solely between the customer and the service provider.

3. Independent Service Providers

All service providers using Surrey Tasker operate independently.

Service providers are responsible for:

  • Their own work
  • Their own tools and equipment
  • Their own pricing
  • Their own business operations
  • Their own legal obligations
  • Their own qualifications, licences, insurance, and certifications where required

Surrey Tasker does not employ, control, supervise, or manage service providers.

4. No Verification or Vetting

Unless specifically stated otherwise, Surrey Tasker does not carry out:

  • Identity verification
  • Criminal record checks
  • DBS checks
  • Qualification checks
  • Insurance checks
  • Professional accreditation checks
  • Background checks

Users are responsible for making their own enquiries and checks before agreeing to any work.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers using Surrey Tasker agree that they are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about their job or task
  • Clearly explaining requirements
  • Agreeing prices and arrangements directly with service providers
  • Checking suitability of any service provider before hiring
  • Confirming any qualifications, experience, insurance, or references where appropriate

Customers should take reasonable precautions before allowing any person access to their home, property, business premises, belongings, or personal information.

6. Service Provider Responsibilities

Service providers agree that they are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about themselves and their services
  • Completing work professionally and lawfully
  • Meeting all legal requirements relating to their services
  • Communicating honestly with customers
  • Agreeing all work arrangements directly with customers

7. Payments

At this time, Surrey Tasker does not process payments between users.

Any payment agreements, deposits, invoices, or financial arrangements are made directly between the customer and service provider.

Surrey Tasker is not responsible for payment disputes between users.

8. Quality of Services

Surrey Tasker does not guarantee:

  • The quality of services
  • The availability of service providers
  • The accuracy of user information
  • The completion of jobs
  • The suitability of any service provider
  • The price agreed between users

Users are responsible for deciding who they work with.

9. Property Damage, Loss, Injury, or Misconduct

Surrey Tasker is not responsible for any:

  • Property damage
  • Theft
  • Loss
  • Injury
  • Accidents
  • Poor workmanship
  • Delays
  • Missed appointments
  • Disputes
  • Financial losses

arising from interactions, agreements, or services provided between users.

Surrey Tasker does not control the actions, behaviour, decisions, or conduct of users or service providers.

10. Criminal Activity

Surrey Tasker does not accept responsibility for unlawful actions or criminal behaviour carried out by users or service providers.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Theft
  • Fraud
  • Assault
  • Harassment
  • Damage to property
  • Any other criminal activity

Users should report suspected criminal activity to the appropriate authorities.

11. Reviews and Feedback

Users may leave reviews and feedback where available.

Reviews must:

  • Be truthful
  • Reflect genuine experiences
  • Not contain unlawful, abusive, misleading, or fraudulent content

Surrey Tasker reserves the right to remove content that breaches these terms.

12. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use Surrey Tasker for:

  • Illegal activities
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Dangerous activities
  • Misleading advertisements
  • Spam
  • Harassment
  • Abuse
  • Fake accounts
  • Any activity that may harm other users

13. Account Suspension and Removal

14. Limitation of Liability

  • Interactions between users
  • Services provided by independent providers
  • Agreements made between users

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
